Canadian reactor resumes operation even with leak

The National Research Universal nuclear reactor in Chalk River, Ontario, resumed normal operations Monday even as technicians try to repair a "significant" leak in the reactor's core. Despite the leak, the reactor has managed to maintain and even exceed normal isotope production to address a global shortage in supply caused by the temporary shutdown of a Dutch reactor that could last until early spring.
