Study: Posting calorie info dissuades teens from buying sugary drinks

Posting signs about the calorie content of sugar-sweetened drinks lowered the odds that teens would purchase the drinks by approximately 40%, according to a study in the American Journal of Public Health. Signs indicating that a 50-minute jog is needed to burn off the calories in a can of soda cut the odds by 50%, researchers said.
