Gay churches losing members to mainstream counterparts

The rolls of gay-oriented churches and groups such as gay Catholic organization Dignity are diminishing as gays and lesbians are finding greater acceptance within mainstream houses of worship. "There's less need," said Archbishop Mark Shirilau, founder of the Ecumenical Catholic Church. "You can church-shop and find at a local level a parish that is accepting."
