AT&T's Lurie bets gadgets will bring wireless payoff

AT&T Mobility's Glenn Lurie is leading the carrier's efforts to find new devices to power with wireless technologies beyond cell phones, a market some analysts believe can reach $90 billion by 2013. "It could even be the bigger piece of the pie," Lurie said in an interview. AT&T has already attached itself to e-readers and netbooks and has more gadgets -- advanced car-entertainment systems, home appliances and handheld game consoles -- in the works for next year, according to a report.
