Google's Socialize helps promote blog posts

Google introduced a URL shortener this week to help small-business owners more easily share content through Twitter and provide more metrics on the results. "[It's] one thing to tweet a post to your hundred followers, but it's another to be able to analyze the clicks, to see the engagement and to be able to benchmark whether numbers are going up or down," writes Lisa Barone, chief branding officer at Outspoken Media.
