CDC finds about 60% of U.S. adults had a difficult childhood

About 60% of Americans reported experiencing familial problems during childhood, such as having separated or abusive parents, a CDC survey of more than 26,000 adults revealed. The CDC found that almost 15% of U.S. adults experienced physical abuse in childhood, more than 12% had been sexually abused and nearly 9% had at least five "adverse childhood experiences."
