Palais Lumière or Light Palace, a 60-story, 820-foot spiraling glass-and-steel skyscraper, has been proposed for Venice, Italy. Designed by French fashion designer Pierre Cardin and architect Rodrigo Basilicati, the tower will house a fashion university, hotels and shops. However, critics are concerned about its impact on the lagoon environment when built.
