Corporate boards recognize wisdom of recruiting CFOs

Nearly 80% of chief financial officers have found an increase in demand for their services on corporate boards, according to an Ernst & Young survey. CFOs are sought after because of their background in finance, financial reporting and audit risk. Two-thirds of respondents said they would be willing to take on voluntary or part-time nonexecutive duties on corporate boards.
