New e-rate rules designed to prevent fraud

The FCC adopted rules aimed at curbing fraud related to the federal e-rate technology funding program, which helps schools and libraries obtain high-speed Internet service and other new technologies. The new guidelines limit the number of times a school or library can receive e-rate funds to twice in a five-year period.
