Report: Teacher credentials, reforms matter in math education

A recent report found that in some cases public-school students outperform their peers in private schools in math because of the high number of certified teachers in public schools and the focus on innovative teaching methods there. However, critics of the study say they saw the opposite result using the same data with alternate measures.
