The Massachusetts Gaming Commission postponed for 90 days a final vote on a plan to accept applications from developers of commercial casinos for the state's southeastern region. The move allows the Mashpee Wampanoag tribe more time to finalize its plans for a gambling facility in Taunton. The law allowing gambling in Massachusetts gives a federally recognized tribe preference for the region's casino license.
