Obama administration calls for resolution to SGR problem

The Obama administration is calling for a permanent solution for Medicare's sustainable growth-rate formula, along with $400 billion in health care cuts, sources said. House Speaker John Boehner, R-Ohio, said the White House proposed a plan with $1.3 trillion in new revenues and $850 billion in net spending cuts. Boehner, however, said a permanent fix to the SGR formula may not be imminent.
