Federal judge combines suits against Bayer over biotech rice

More than a dozen lawsuits against Bayer CropScience over its biotech rice have been combined into one large suit by a federal judicial panel. Another 21 suits may be added to the litigation, all contending Bayer's rice escaped from test plots and mixed with the rice of plaintiffs in three states, costing them profit losses.
