Survey: Younger Americans focus on retirement savings

Younger generations are doing more to prepare for retirement than baby boomers, a TD Ameritrade survey suggests. About 25% of Generation Y and 23% of Generation X survey participants said they are funding both an individual retirement account and a 401(k) or 403(b) plan. Among baby boomers, 16% said they were funding both plans.
