Polio drive paused in Pakistan amid new attacks

Two more health workers were shot and killed today while administering polio vaccines in Pakistan, bringing the death toll to eight -- mostly women -- over three days of a vaccination campaign now suspended by the World Health Organization and UNICEF. Another health worker was injured in today's attacks, while at least five were reportedly fired upon by unidentified gunmen, but escaped.
