Voluntary products continue to gain prominence, research shows

Interest in voluntary products continues to grow, with 77% of companies that employ 10 or more workers offering one or more voluntary products, according to Eastbridge Consulting Group research. That's an increase of 11 percentage points over 2009. "While the largest increase in employers adding voluntary for the first time occurred in the small employer market, it is still the market with the lowest overall penetration," said Eastbridge vice president Bonnie Brazzell.
