Oversight official accused of improper stenting

A malpractice attorney has filed a complaint alleging that Dr. John Chung-Yee Wang improperly stented patients while at the now-defunct MidAtlantic Cardiovascular Associates. Wang is part of a committee examining oversight of coronary intervention procedures. SCAI, which has pushed Maryland officials to mandate accreditation of the state's coronary intervention labs, says the committee's oversight recommendations have not gone far enough.
