Social media fall short, financial advisers say

Financial advisers see far fewer benefits from using social media than they did two years ago, according to a survey by Aite Group. Only 19% of advisers surveyed said social media helped them find new clients, about half of the number two years ago. "Social media has been overhyped, and the benefits just aren't there for a lot of advisers," Aite senior analyst Ron Shevlin said.
