AT&T to bolster LTE footprint under FCC-approved deal

AT&T has received regulatory approval to acquire 4G spectrum covering 82% of the contiguous U.S. from a handful of companies. The Federal Communications Commission ruling lets the carrier purchase services licenses covering 608 metropolitan areas from Comcast, Horizon, NextWave and San Diego Gas & Electric.
