State, local leaders add support for $665M Gateway Pacific Terminal

The plan for a $665 million terminal in Washington state with links to a BNSF line has garnered more support. Currently, the West Coast can't competitively export dry bulk goods from the area. "The Gateway Pacific Terminal, and its link to the BNSF rail system, will help fill that void, providing farmers and resource managers in the northwest and across the Upper Midwest with an efficient new export portal," says the project's website.
