Ohio's teaching schools to cover value-added analysis

A new bill up before the Ohio governor for signature will require the state's college and university teaching programs to instruct students in value-added analysis, an approach that uses data to assess student progress and, to the concern of some, teacher effectiveness. The new legislation also mandates that teachers be trained to teach the state's academic standards.
