Students create virtual portfolios to showcase their skills

Fifth-grade students at a Wisconsin elementary school are creating virtual learning journals as a way to record their academic goals, achievements and the material they are learning throughout the year. The virtual portfolios -- which are created with PowerPoint software and include video and audio clips as well -- are meant to increase students' technology use and improve their analytical and critical-thinking skills, their teacher said.
