Agave syrup a sweet alternative to sugar

Syrup made from agave plants provides an alternative to sugar that is twice as sweet with half the calories, and is suitable for diabetics because it is low on the Glycemic Index. It can be used in place of sugar, corn syrup, maple syrup or honey in most recipes.
