Compensation claims against employers increase

Federal courts are siding with employees in class-action lawsuits in which workers claim they should be paid while they prepare for work, such as donning protection gear. Workers also are complaining in the courts that they're being shorted on overtime pay along with "people who just have been stiffed," one employee-rights lawyer says.
