U.S. may expect another busy storm season in 2011, WSI says

The 2011 Atlantic hurricane season is expected to be above average just as this year's was, forecasters say. It could produce 17 named storms, including nine hurricanes, five of which could be major hurricanes, according to Weather Services International. But unlike in the 2010 season, more storms could make landfall in the U.S., most likely in Texas and other western Gulf of Mexico states, said Todd Crawford, chief meteorologist of the forecasting team.
