Judge approves AMR's plan to buy planes, reject some leases

A bankruptcy judge has approved the request of American Airlines' parent company, AMR, to buy planes from Boeing and reject leases on planes it doesn't want. The company, which has cited high labor costs, filed for bankruptcy in late November.
