RDs offer tips to keep holiday pounds off

Sticking to a regular schedule for eating may help prevent overconsumption and maintain body weight during the holidays, registered dietitians Karen Ansel and Jessica Crandall say. Avoiding alcoholic beverages, which are loaded with calories, may also help keep off extra pounds, they say. Other tips include minimizing portions, eating lots of vegetables and exercising.
