Ford outlines alternative vehicle plans

Ford plans to introduce a number of vehicles that run on electric batteries, including hybrids and plug-ins. The company now sells about 50,000 hybrids each year, with a total of more than 100,000 Ford hybrids sold. It plans to introduce a four-passenger Focus hybrid in 2011 and a plug-in hybrid in 2012.
