UN likely to hit Eritrea with sanctions, arms embargo

The UN Security Council is likely to rule for an arms embargo against Eritrea and targeted sanctions for its leaders for aiding rebels in Somalia. The resolution further presses Eritrea to remove immediately troops stationed in disputed territories along the border with Djibouti, something that has ratcheted tensions between the two. Libya is the lone nation expected to rule against the resolution.
