How content is driving the tablet market

The iPad, Kindle Fire and Nook Color tablets, which are largely content-driven, have produced better returns than models that don't give manufacturers continued access to consumers for content sales. Looking ahead to 2012, though, Samsung and Sony may achieve penetration with tablets that work well as accessories to their TV sets, says Andrew Eisner, director of content for consumer electronics site Retrevo.com.
