The new labor contracts American Eagle negotiated with each of its three unions have received approval from U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Sean Lane. "While the past year for the Eagle team has been extraordinarily challenging, we believe what we have accomplished positions us well for a bright future," American Eagle CEO Dan Garton said in a message to employees last week. The parties are holding talks with US Airways and its unions over a possible merger. AMR Corp. is the parent company of American Eagle and American Airlines.
