CFPB details additional changes to remittance rules

The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau on Friday announced proposed revisions to its rules governing international money transfers. The latest changes are aimed at making it easier for banks to comply. Changes include the elimination of a report on foreign taxes of regional, provincial, state or other local governments. The agency also proposed delaying implementation until 90 days after its rules become final.
