1 in 4 owners fear recession will shutter business

NFIB says a six-month payroll tax break will go further to help small businesses than making credit more available. A recent survey of membership indicated that one in four small-business owners is afraid he or she cannot survive the recession and that it is poor sales, not tight credit, that is their biggest problem. A payroll tax break would give businesses and their employees more money to spend, NFIB asserts.
