Cash squeeze helps drive up India's interest-rate swaps

Five-year interest-rate swaps in India rose to nearly a three-week high on concerns that the nation's banking system is experiencing an intensifying cash squeeze. “Swaps are reflecting the liquidity squeeze in the banking system,” said Srinivasa Raghavan of Dhanlaxmi Bank.
