$100M solar power plant completed at Nevada base

A new $100 million solar power plant completed Dec. 17 is designed to provide nearly a third of the summer power source to the 12,000-employee Nellis Air Force Base in Nevada. The 14-megawatt solar power system is expected to bring about $1 million in cost savings annually, and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 24,000 tons annually.
