Amazon sees growth in sales of digital goods, comScore says

Amazon.com's strategy of offering cheaper e-readers and tablet computers appears to be paying off for the company, as sales of e-books and other digital goods have increased 30% this holiday period compared with the holiday shopping season of 2010, according to comScore. In contrast, online sales of consumer electronics, jewelry and watches increased one-quarter compared with the 2010 holiday period.
