NS plans service expansion along $2.5B Crescent Corridor route

Norfolk Southern plans to add more intermodal services along its $2.5 billion Crescent Corridor. The railroad plans to begin operations at the Birmingham Regional Intermodal Facility near Birmingham, Ala., and the Franklin County Regional Intermodal Facility in Greencastle, Pa., on Jan. 20. Kansas City Southern will partner with NS to provide services for the terminals' target routes.
