ARM processors could help make more energy-efficient servers

CPUs and graphics processors based on ARM Holdings designs could soon provide server architectures that are more energy-efficient, according to analysts. ARM, whose processor designs are found in many mobile devices, this year introduced a 64-bit microprocessor architecture that could be used in high-end servers, and Nvidia's Tegra 3 processor is being implemented in a supercomputer.
