Minn. schools' focus on nutrition expands to snacks

In some Minnesota schools, officials are working to ensure students are eating healthy outside of the cafeteria. In some cases, school nutrition professionals are offering students healthy snacks, such as veggies and dip, and marking celebrations in ways that do not involve junk food. One school holds a monthly Healthy Snack Friday, in which students make their own nutritious snacks.
