Scottish teachers call on government to restore classroom aides

Teachers in Scotland say budget cuts are reducing the number of aides in classrooms and having an effect on the education of students with special needs. "It is time for the government to act and insist that previous support standards, which are already very minimal in some schools, are retained," the general secretary of the Scottish Secondary Teachers Association said.
