Community college becoming ticket to high-paying careers

Rather than simply serving as a steppingstone for students on their way to a four-year college, community colleges are providing more career-training programs for some of the fastest-growing jobs in the U.S. This trend is being supported by the federal government, which pumped $2 billion into community colleges for retraining programs, which are helping adults switch careers and providing technical skills to college graduates with liberal arts degrees.
