Why experienced educators should observe teachers

Eighth-grade English teacher Ariel Sacks in this blog post questions a job posting she saw that sought people to observe and evaluate teachers. The posting stated that experienced educators were preferred -- not required. Sacks writes that while the approach may work for the organization cited to evaluate its own program, officials should be careful not to harm the teaching profession.
