PepsiCo will boost fourth-quarter ad spending to promote the soft drink's compatibility with food in its "Pepsi. It's the cola." campaign. The ads will not use past celebrity endorsers such as Britney Spears and Beyonce Knowles, but rather focus on a natural affinity between characters in Pepsi costumes and those dressed up as hot dogs and hamburgers. Pepsi said it might bring back celebrities in future ads.
