A U.S. District Court judge in New York ruled Purdue Pharma misled federal officials to win a patent for its painkiller drug, OxyContin. The judge ruled in favor of Endo Pharmaceuticals Holdings, which sued when it was prevented from offering a generic version of the popular drug, but a Purdue spokesman said the company would appeal.
