Americans are bringing their ever-increasing waistlines into the workplace, and employers are carrying some of the weight. Health care costs, productivity and morale are all impacted by obesity in the workplace, and on average, health care for obese workers costs 36% more than for normal-weight workers, say experts, but savvy employers are finding cost-effective ways of battling the bulge.
