A Dutch study found annual flu shots significantly reduce deaths from all causes in those 65 and older. An American flu expert said the study, "reinforces even more our need for a secure supply of influenza vaccine." The study indicated those who had any flu shots were 22% less likely to die when compared with those not vaccinated, while those vaccinated annually were 15% less likely to die as opposed to those who received just one shot.
