A 30-day study of 30 patients implanted with the BVS stent, made from a bioabsorbable polymer that turns into lactic acid over a period of two to three years, contains "perfect" data and no adverse effects. Researchers hope the stent will reduce the risk of late-stent thrombosis and will allow for clearer imaging. Six-month data from the same 30 patients will be released in March.
