Eleven cable companies and Adlink are donating $12 million in advertising time in an effort to boost tourism in New Orleans. Cox, the largest cable company in the New Orleans area, is joined in the initiative by Bresnan Communications, Bright House Networks, Cable One, Cablevision Systems, Charter Communications, Comcast, Insight Communications, Mediacom Communications, Time Warner Cable and Suddenlink Communications in the effort that is expected to generate $1.3 billion in tourism spending.
