WPP chief Martin Sorrell contributed to his company's pitch for Coca-Cola's media business by submitting a video selling its capabilities and holding up a personalized "Sir Martin" Coke can. That personal touch from top agency executives was also seen in a recent tweet from Coca-Cola's Wendy Clark, who showed IPG's Michael Roth and UM's Daryl Lee wearing red socks during her visit.
David Jones has been named CEO of France's Havas Group after the resignation of Fernando Rodes. Jones was previously the chief of Havas' Euro RSCG. The company also announced a 4.9% growth in fourth-quarter revenues and a 20% increase in net profits for the year.
Ron Bess, chief operating officer of Havas' Euro RSCG's North American unit, has been named president of the division. Bess, who will remain CEO of Euro RSCG's Chicago office, succeeds Esther Lee, who is now a senior vice president for brand marketing and advertising at AT&T.
DaVinci, the shop created collaboratively by WPP Group and Dell to handle the computer marketer's $4.5 billion global account, has named Ken Segall as executive creative director. Segall previously worked on Intel business for Havas' Euro RSCG.
