Better drugs -- and new classes of them -- circumcision and genetic engineering are all helping in the fight against HIV/AIDS, experts said at an International AIDS Society conference. U.S. professor Robert Bailey urged governments to develop policy standards supporting circumcision to slow the spread of HIV/AIDS. "Circumcision could drive the epidemic to a declining state toward extinction," he said.
